Our NYC Acupuncturists

Our acupuncturists employ a blend of acupuncture styles that mainly include traditional acupuncture and trigger point dry needling. We each have our own unique treatment style that complements the others. This allows us to provide effective care for a wide range of patients.

We all graduated from acupuncture school with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Acupuncture school includes a rigorous 3 year program which has over 1,000 hours of clinical practice and patient interaction.

Our training focused on several styles of acupuncture which we incorporate as needed to provide individualized acupuncture treatments. These styles in include Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), auricular (ear) acupuncture, Five Element acupuncture, classical acupuncture, and dry needling or trigger point acupuncture style.

We use these techniques along with other modalities of Chinese medicine like herbs, moxibustion, electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, qi gong, tui na, and dietary recommendations as needed to enhance the effects of the acupuncture treatment.

We seek to provide a safe and open healing space for all people that allows patients to feel at ease. We meet each patient wherever they are on a given day so they can feel supported throughout the healing process.

We are all licensed by the state of New York and nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

    He/Him/His

My acupuncture practice specializes in pain (acute, chronic, and sports injuries) and stress related disorders.

I primarily use acupuncture in my treatments, utilizing a trigger point or dry needling style of acupuncture to release myofascial constriction to relieve acute and chronic pain, and treat sports injuries. At a deeper level I use traditional acupuncture points with a focus on calming the nervous system to restore the balance between the mind and body.

My work with patients is usually focused on releasing the tight fibers in soft tissue to reduce pain and promote normal functioning of the affected area. My main goal for people is to allow them to get back to doing the things they love as quickly as possible without pain.

I also treat many physical symptoms of stress and anxiety which arise from the way our nervous system is affected by stressful or traumatic events. These symptoms can include things like muscle tightness, chronic pain, fatigue, headaches, digestive issues, sleep issues, and menstrual irregularities.

I am nationally NCCAOM Board Certified in Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture & Herbs) and a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York. I am also a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in Dry Needling (CMTPT/DN) via Myopain Seminars.

I decided to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine so I could share the benefits of this wonderful healing system with those around me. I was also once a first time acupuncture patient dealing with chronic pain. After trying everything else, I eventually discovered the combination of acupuncture with dry needling and had such a life changing experience that I decided to become an acupuncturist myself so I could learn how to help others heal from acute and chronic pain & stress.

To me, Chinese medicine seeks to harmonize the mind-body connection which allows a return to homeostasis and optimal health. It helps relieve pain and inflammation, promotes circulation and more restful sleep, and rebalances the nervous system. Dry needling offers a more mechanical pain relief mechanism by identifying and releasing trigger points that cause pain. Combined, these treatment modalities offers more comprehensive pain relief than either one alone.

    She/her/hers

My acupuncture practice specializes in stress, mental/emotional health, digestive complaints, menstrual disorders/women’s health, and pain.

My treatments work to balance the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual pillars of health, primarily with acupuncture. I have experience with traditional acupuncture as well as five-element, classical acupuncture, and trigger point dry needling.

Depending on what is needed, I may also use energy work or medical qi gong, cupping, gua sha, dietary recommendations, and/or herbal formulas during a treatment.

In addition to being a licensed acupuncturist, I am also a certified yoga instructor and Infinichi practitioner. Infinichi is a form of medical qi gong that I studied under the 39 generation Ni family lineage from China.

With this background, I focus on the subtle body as well as the physical, so that we can return to a state of optimal wellness holistically. I believe all of our bodies have the innate ability to heal when given the proper conditions, so I also work to empower my patients to look at their lifestyle, diet, movement habits, and more to determine what is needed to thrive.

I have worked with many different health conditions including acute and chronic pain, sleep issues, digestive complaints, headaches, mental health, and more and treated patients ranging from ages 6 to 90.

As someone who struggled with musculoskeletal pain, menstrual pain and irregularities, and digestive issues at a young age, acupuncture and Chinese medicine changed my life and I am passionate about sharing this with others.

When I am not treating patients, I am dancing professionally throughout NYC and have many dance clients who I work with. I am passionate about helping them continue to do what they love without pain or disharmony.

Acupuncture Education: Master of Science in Acupuncture from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Master of Science from Yo San University in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

    They/Them/Theirs

My acupuncture practice specializes in pain (acute, chronic, and sports injuries), stress related disorders, headaches, insomnia, and digestive issues.

My work with patients is a patient-centered, holistic approach. Within a treatment, I primarily use acupuncture, electroacupuncture (e-stim), cupping, and tui-na/bodywork. My acupuncture style is an integrated approach combining classic Chinese medicine (TCM), trigger point therapy, dry needling, and elements of Sports Medicine Acupuncture.

For pain conditions, I tend to include a postural assessment and/or orthopedic assessments within the intake. I then use the treatment to address structural and postural imbalances in order to address the specific pain. Additionally, I use traditional acupuncture on a deeper level to calm the nervous system and restore balance between mind and body.

I am a nationally board certified acupuncturist and also Certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture (C.SMA). This program combines acupuncture with orthopedic assessment and motor point acupuncture to provide effective treatments for athletes and sports injuries.

Prior to studying acupuncture, I was a freelance dancer and yoga instructor in New York City. Originally from northern Kentucky, I moved to New York City in 2012 to pursue a double major in Dance and Psychology from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. After receiving my BFA, I became a certified yoga instructor through the Perri Institute for Mind and Body, a holistic and alignment-based approach to the yoga practice. I taught dancers restorative yoga at Steps on Broadway, as well as teaching at SOMA gym in Williamsburg. During my training at the Perri Institute, I studied meditation from Ethan Nichtern and the “science of breath” from Lynn Martin.

I am also a marathon runner and and have run several marathons including a personal best of 2:55.
